Jerry Walker, Village of Holly ManagerJerry Walker has been employed in local government for over 30 years. He came to Holly in October 2010 as Interim Village Manager and accepted the full time position as Village Manager in March of 2011. Prior to Holly, he was employed in the City of Walled Lake, Michigan for nearly 29 years serving in the positions of police officer, detective, sergeant, police chief, fire chief, public safety director and for 5-years in the dual role of City Manager/Director of Public Safety. After retirement from Walled Lake Jerry served as President of the Traffic Improvement Association of Oakland County, Lake Orion Police Officer and as an Adjunct Instructor for ITT teaching criminal justice along with local government courses which he still does today. A funny fact is Jerry worked for the Village of Holly in 1978-1980 as a police reserve officer right out of high school before leaving to work for the City of Walled Lake, so he has come full-circle in employment. Jerry received his Master of Liberal Studies degree from Eastern Michigan University. He received his under graduate degree in Criminal Justice from Madonna College and an associate’s degree from Oakland Community College. |
