Records & Fees

Records may be obtained by filling out a FOIA form at the  Police Department or the Village Offices. The Village of Holly Offices are open Monday thru Thursday.  The Holly Police Department is 24 hour service Police Department.

Bring with you:

  • Copy of card provided by officer with phone numbers and case number, and personal ID (driver’s license, State of Michigan ID card, etc.)
  • Only persons who are named on an incident/police report may request a copy of a record. All other persons requesting records must fill out and submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) form at the Village Offices.

Garage Sale Permits

Permits are needed to conduct garage sales and yard sales within the Village of Holly. Holly residents are limited to 4 sales per year, one per quarter. There is no fee for holding garage sales. Permits may be approved at the Holly Fire Department during regular business hours.

Gun Permits/Registration

Effective March 1st, 2011: Village of Holly residents may obtain a Gun Purchasing Permit and Gun Registration at the Holly P.D. Must have picture I.D. Gun processing will be Monday thru Friday, 24/7.

Non Village residents must go to the 1200 building on Telegraph Rd in Pontiac.

Ink fingerprinting is available everyday, fee is $15.00.

Information for obtaining a Concealed Pistol License can be obtained at www.michigan.gov/msp.

Cash only accepted (no checks or credit cards). Must have correct change.

Accident reports

Accident reports can be obtained at www.clemis.org or the oak.gov website.

Lost/Found Pets

If you have lost or found a pet please call the Holly Police Department @ 248-634-8221. We have a lost and found book to enter information about lost pets and to also search for lost pets. If the lost pet has a license tag we are able to search the Oakland County data base for the owner. Oakland County Animal Control can be reached @ 248-391-4102, 8:00AM – 4:00PM, Monday thru Friday.

Vacation House Checks

Should you be going on vacation or just out of town for a few days remember to notify your neighbors and arrange for your mail and newspapers to be held until your return. Just before leaving, call the Holly Police Department and the duty dispatcher will take your name, address, dates you will be gone, emergency notification information, pet care providers and a few other bits of essential information. This information will be passed on to patrol officers who will keep an extra eye on your home while you are gone.
